This article is about of us, readers, to take a more active approach like having a squad of cyber-cops to police Internet Bullies. A 14-year-old teenager is a victim of cyber-bullying. He diasagree to what the Parliament says about the current legislation is not enough to protect youth from cyber-bullies.
State your opinion
In my opinion, having a computer and access to the Internet does not mean that we can bully others online. I suggest that the Government should have a squad of cyber cops to trace the bullies IP adress. That way, there is no reason why the police should not say that nothing could be done to the victim. I think that it is a must to have squads of cyber cops now as the technologies are getting more advanced. There may be more people getting hurt.
Besides these, the Gorvernment should make laws that could protect the youths in Singapore from getting bullied in the huge Cyber World. Parents should also play a part in defending their children. I suggest that they could create a Fire Wall and install anti cyber bullying soft ware in their children's computer. If this really happens, the chances of your child getting bullied. In my opinion, everyone has a part to play in this action against cyber-bullying.
In the world, the United States, ranks the first in the number of cyber-bullying cases. Some children have been pushed to commit suicide. That is the worst case scenario. While, Singapore almost rank the second. However, we are lucky that Singapore does not have any fatalities happening. I do not want that to happen here.
To conclude, I hope that the Parliament should have squads of cyber cops to track those bullies down to stop cyber-bullying.
It you have the power to influence or control the situation, describe what you will do. You may assume different roles and describe how you would respond or react to the situation.
If I have the power to control the situation. I will deploy about 10 squads of cyber squads to catch the cyber-bullies in the nation as a warning to the others. Those caught will be given a chance or else they will have to face the music. I will also encourage others to have a fire wall in their computer to decrease the possibility of them having bullied by the "criminals".
